Camp NaNoWriMo is here, and I'm starting off strong!
Today is April 1st, and I am excited to share that I have completed my second Kindle Vella Project outline. It took me some time to settle on a title, but I have finally settled on "The Demon Lord's Lover". This title is fitting for my ideas moving forward.
I am taking an arc-by-arc approach to my story creation process for this Vella. Taking this approach has made my story planning and organizing easier. By looking at the arc instead of the story at large, I can build on the story and follow my own through processes that can quickly run away from me.
Today I wrote a 1616-word outline for my novel. My initial goal was to only write 1000 words, so I am thrilled with my accomplishment. I plan to keep up the momentum and reach my goal of batching and having a scheduled release for this story.
I aim to write a few episodes, then take a break and work on Thrall. I want to reevaluate Thrall and recreate my outline with the arc-by-arc approach I took with The Demon Lord's Lover.
I am using the Save The Cat! method for the outline process, keeping the first 14 beats as is while changing the 15th beat from "closing image" to "But/And Then".
I used them but then approached them while creating the first eight arcs of The Demon Lord's Lover.
